Description Title

Javier Iha Rodríguez is a music composer and pianist with extensive knowledge and experience in piano performance participating in a wide range of events throughout his career as a musician. He has had great opportunities working in projects with different caliber of musicians. Among the projects he worked in are: The XXVII Havana Music Festival in 2014, The XXVIII Havana Festival of Contemporary Music in 2015 and 2016. In 2017 he was privileged to participate in the XVIII Scientific Conference on Art and Culture at the University of Arts (ISA) as a panelist. He also had an opportunity to be part of the International Workshop on Musical Heritage as a teacher and composer. In 2019 he was part of the Havana Chamber Music Festival.

In his career as a musician, he has been able to secure awards both in groups and as an individual. Among these awards is, 2012, April:

· First Prize in the “Harold Gramatges” category and in the “Rafael Díaz Albertini” violin category with the Sonatina II for violin and piano,

· First Prize in the “José Ardévol” category with the work String Quartet,

· First Prize in the Classic Trio category in the Composition Music Competition.

Do you have public liability insurance ?

Yes. Javier has full public liability insurance.

Can you learn a particular song for my event?

Yes. Javier is more than happy to learn any particular song for your event. There is no additional charge for this.

Why should I choose you?

Javier is a grade 8 pianist and has 2 national bachelor's degrees in music and a master's. Rates are very reasonable and his musical equipment is of the highest standard.

How long do you play?

Javier can either play for x1, x2, or x3 60-minute sets. Javier can play for longer set times, but an additional charge will apply.

How long do you take to set up?

It will require 20 minutes to set up all of his equipment. He will arrive approx 1 hour before he is due to play, however, Javier is flexible and if the venue or client requires him to set up earlier, this will not be a problem.
